Carney,
I just wanted to see if anybody has gone up to a 27 or 28 p. Figured I would have to cut down the diameter a bit, maybe 3/4 inch or so. thats what I did on the Baja. I went from a 26p 4 blade to a 27p three blade. Mercury cut the diam. 1/2" and thinned the $hit out of the blades. It was good for about 2mph and the boat ran the same r's.

I have been there and done that myself, then when your boat is on the trailer and people look to see what you are running and buy the same , and can not figure how can he turn that prop- and I can not. Just because it say's 27p don't mean it is a 27.

Doing a custom prop like that is all a black science and trill by error. I can highly recomend Throttle Up Props in St. Petersburg, FL. Talke to them and they can shed some light on what might make you and your boat happy. they have done awesome work for me and many others on OSO. You might want to think about having a great all around prop, great rough water prop and a total light load top speed prop.
