K&N has a rubber flapper inside. They are anti drain back filters. with K&N just crack it loose and wait 10 minutes then wrap a rag around it for residual oil and you are done. Only a very small amount drips and the rag you wrapped around it catches most of it...

[QUOTE=Sydwayz;1843096]If the filters are inverted, meaning pointing down...

Take a screwdriver that has a square shank about 3/8 in diameter, and pop a hole in the very top center of the filter with a hammer. Let the screwdriver insert a couple inches, but not far enough to extend out the bottom of the filter. Let the filter drain into the pain for about 20-30 minutes before you remove it. You will not spill a drop; guaranteed... as the filter will be empty.

I have a specific screwdriver that I cut and sharpened for this task. It works like a charm.[/QUOT] bingo we have a winner!:evilb:

Why would you want oil in your bilge?.Oil fumes ,flammable, oil getting all over everything, the dawn will not get it all out, I wouldn't even want the smell of gas diluted oil in the engine compartment.

I have just the place you can dump your oil behind a fiberglass shop here in Brandon on the ground.I would like to help them after ya do it, EPA:drink:
