The Porter's just "get it"
Not Totally Rip!!!!!!
again my comment is seemingly moreso than the rest of the production builders. I'm sure there are exceptions and some situations that can not be solved to everyone's satisfaction, just as in life as a whole.

[QUOTE=Drag 'N' Ass]How many of you on a 42 do not have your rub rail centered on the swim platform. I noticed it the very first time l laid my eyes on the rear end.

Here is my Fountain story. Bought a new 35x in Aug of 05.
After running it around for 2 weekends I had a small list
of items and 1 major problem. The boat listed to port.
After my dealer dicked around for a week they decided
to send it back to fountain. It went to Fountain in Jan. of
06 with the list of problems. At that time I decided to have
them change the windscreen to a race fairing. Well needless
to say,I was crapping my pants because they were dickin around
and not getting the boat done. I had to make several calls to
fountain because my dealer was lazy also. When it finally came
back ( end of April) the listing problem was fixed...but nothing else.
To make matters worse, the ripped the interior in 3 different places.
The agreed to take care of it this past Fall. My dealer then dicked
around some more, didn't get the boat fixed and I had to get it in
storage. Since it went in staorage I just found out that my dealer
lost their Fountain franchise. Now what ? It just keeps getting more
frustrating. They act like 150k is chump change from the Factory
to the dealer. Very frustrating. I do like the boat, but Fountain
needs some Quality control. Stupid fit & finish items. Does anyone
even look at the final assembled product. A 10k Hyundai has better
fit & finish than these boats that cost 15-30 times more money.

My local dealer got ride of Fountain. Fnt didnt like that they're also a dealer for Donzi, Cigarette, Outerlimits, Contender and Formula. If Fountain steped up their quality and customer service they could really have something. By the way nice avatar epeek!!
