Thats ok. As I have said before, the 42 Fountain is the best riding vee I have been in and run at speed. I know about Fountains as well by we owned one for 3 years and boat with a lot of them. This is an open forum and I just tell it how it is. Now lets get this guy into a nice 35 Fountain!!

Don't take any statements about your age as being an issue. To be totally honest, age has no real bearing on how knowledgeable a person is or is not.

Thank You itilldo. Let me know what your looking for and I'll help you find it!!

Don't think we can help you on one in that price range. you might have to wait a few years on that on. I have an idea though- Shogren Performance has a 2002 35 lightning with 496hos that is pretty cheap. Boat will still probably run close to 80mph but will be super reliable and fuel efficient. Check it out- www.chicagofountain.com. Could probably be bought for under 100k. Its worth looking at. F40icbm- How would you rate your 38 sling to a 42 lightning? I have considered jumping ship to a Slingshot.

There are a few used cigs on the market that I would take over most new fountains as well. There are also a few used outerlimits that I would take over most new Cigs. I think you are beating a dead horse here. Here is what we have learned.
1. Fountains are faster than Cigs.
2. Fountains cost less than Cigs.
3. Cigs finish is better.
4. Re-sale sucks on both in todays market.
Dito - yeah - he'll take the ride in whatever daddy buys - and whatever daddy has at any given time is what the best boat will be. Funny how he hangs on this website and continually bashes Fountains. they probably threw him out of the Cigarette board

Yeah man - any time he wants to go away is good with me and I would venture to say good with most of us who have listened to his enlightened posts on just how bad our Fountains really are.

Me get kicked out the the Cig forum?? Why would you say that. I was not bashing Fountain. I was stating real fact and even complimented Fountain multiple times. You are the type of people I stated about when I first replied to this thread. You know I have alot to say about which boats we own and such. Have I said the Gladiator was the best boat in the world. No!! So you can stop with the Daddy comments!! You my friend are the one acting like a kid!!! Not me!! Do you know any of those people listed above and they listen to what you have to say??? I doubt it!! As a matter of fact people that respond on this thread have asked me questions about some boats and I responded with truthfull facts. You my friend are not worth my time or effort and I am done. This was staring to get back to the main purpose of the thread, then you came along. I will go back to the Cig forum now!!
