So a 3' swim platform on a Fountain is longer than a 3' extension on a Nortech?

But I agree, Fountains are smaller than the same lenghted boats. My point was the repeatativeness of the comparisons and Fountain is always the bad guy.

My buddy has a 35' cafe. His boat is every bit of 10' longer then my 32'. Or so it seems when comparing the cabin to cabin space.

Besides, I think we all convinced itldo to hold out for a 35 over a 32. Wasn't that the topic?

The part that got me going was this satement:

Comparing a boat with twin 500's to one with a single 525 is like comparing a cat to a vee. Of course the twin 500 boat is going to be faster. To come in to the Fountain section and make your first post talking about ruling a Fountain with a Baja rubbed me the wrong way.

Back to the reason of this thread:

I would save up and go with the 35. That is what I am doing. The extra length with give a better ride in the slop and if you get the 32 you will end up wanting the 35 anyway.
Yea - kind of ticked me off as well. After he gets a ride on a real boat he'll sell the 29 Outlaw and buy something worth having - I had a 29 outlaw so yea - I have a right to speak my mind - see my post back up the page?

You do have to admit there are alot of Fountain owners that think their boats are the best in the world and Reggie is king. Even on here. Fountain is not the bad guy in most cases. Not only have we convinced him to go with a 35 it may not be a Fountain.

True, but also to some degree of repeatedly being backed in a corner. I don't think of RF as king, but as somone who deserves alot of credit for where we are today. He has a passion. Personaly, I really like my Fountain ( on my 2nd) and they both have been great and fit the bill. I don't see a 3rd Fountain in my future. Not that there is any thing wrong with them, just like a change. Not really much difference between a 27 and a 42.
I can see a Cig in my garage next.

Im not bashing Fountain. I was commenting on the owners of Fountains on this site. I have a number of times stated how well the 42 hull works and rides. We did own a Fountain at one time and it was a great boat. Better than the newer ones in my opinion. I should get a name change by we now own a Cigarette and Hustler. If you Fountain guys are looking for a Cig, let me know.
