Sport Edition has side by side stand up bolsters and a reverse radar style arch. Tournament Edition has a leaning post and a center console type canopy. Sport is way better looking in my opinion. Would like one with a pair of 300 Pro maxes!

Guy right up the canal from me has a 31TE w/ 225 Opti's and he get low 60's and cruises at 45 getting an easy 2mpg!
I water tested a 2002 31TE with 225 opti's and got 63mph and then tested another one with 250xs and got 68mph.

It's a great boat, handles the water like a Fountain sport boat. For many years, before they built the 34's and 38's of today it was the biggest fish boat they made. It was and still is very popular with the tournament fishermen. 1.5-1.7 MPG at a 40+ MPH cruise with those 225 Opti's. I have a 2004 here with brand new, out of the box 2007 225 Opti's, nice electronics and an aluminum trailer if you'd be interested.

Frank,
The boat is here in NJ waiting for the engine swap. I sold it new to the guy who handles the Northeast Fountain Fish Team in 2004. We are building him a 34 now. Below is a link to a picture on the Fountain website- it is a picture of the actual boat we are talking about here, before the wrap was put on. The wrap will come off easily to reveal what you see here. With brand new power we are thinking it should go for high $90's. If we're in the ballpark let me know and I'll get you full specs and pictures.
