You shouldnt be hitting 5400 with the 27s on a 500hp boat. unless your props have had some work at some point. My boat will spin a set of 27s at 5000 during the summer and 5200 during the cool season. my 26s will turn 5300 to the limiter consistently which is right.

that is waht i thought too but wen we bought the boat they said they were true 600's......they are 502 blocks with 420 b&m blowers with 5 lbs. boost

That is some pretty good speeds for that power and a 38. Congrats
Ever try any 28ish or so Hydro's to see what happened?

well the 30 pitch bravo 1 props i am running now are putting me there at about 5400 rpm's .....thinking bout tryin some 29 pitch hydro 5 blades...

Keep us posted... if it quits raining here, I am going to get some GPS speeds this weekend. There is another 35' with same set-up that is running 89.6mph. That's pretty stout. He was running labbed 28" Hydros.

i just got those hydro 5 blade 29 pitch yesterday and goin to try them wen i get then port motor bak toghether.....the last guy that had the boat burned up and impeller and didnt get alll the little rubber peices out the water system .......so i lost water pressure at the royal purple and ran hot .......took apart and the power steering cooler was completely clogged with sea weed and impeller parts so i flushed it all out with hoes and got all the peices of the impeller out .......still waiting for a new feul pump and will be back out on the water ........ will try the hydro's and will let you know the outcome

Well yall wanted to be posted so here it is......with 5 blade 29 pitch hydro's i lost mid range and the was way loose .....it felt like there was no control... b/c it lifted the stern alot.....so might have gained top end but dont boat feels too lite to run them .....so goin bak to the 30's and or trying spinning the 5 blade 29's out instead of in
