Default Best Prop for 35 Executioneer

I posted under the prop section, but was wondering what prop to try given the following results:

2001 Classic w/ -2 shorties
540s w/ 700 dyno hp na
Ran 29 Quad 4s to 5800 - 90 mph
Today ran 32 Bravos stock to 5600- 95 mph
I was thinking about having the Bravos labbed - dyno sheet
Any suggestions?

hydromotive P5's, maybe a 15 1/2 x 31 what is your peak h.p rpm. this will give you a desired goal for a prop

Peak hp is 5800. That is where I registered 710 hp. Do you think the P5s would be better than labbed 32 Bravos? If so, how can I get one to try? Hydomotive wants 10% of total price to let me try, if I decide not to purchase. Seems rather steep?

Rebel,

Your numbers are starting to look prety good there. Are you spinning the props in or out, have you tried the opposite direction at all?

a really tricked out set of bravos will probaly be the fastest.however the extra blade and bite from the hydro P5 will make the boat a little more stable, enableing you to keep the thing bricked and run at the top number. not just hit it and back down.

Thanks for the replies. I am spinning them in. I thought this was the best to achieve top speed?

I would like to try a P5, before having the Bravos labbed. I saw a set in the classified, labbed 31s for $1800. Not looking to purchase if they don't increase numbers, however.

How many more mph will a set of labbed Bravos net?

If I'm looking at 5800 and turned these 5600, do I have the right prop for labbing. I think a 34 Bravo would be too big?

I spoke with Tom at Hydromotive today. He says I am right on the border of utilizing a P5 or a P5X. Any suggestions? He said that I would need to have the diffuser ring cut from the P5s, but needed for the P5Xs? Should I try both? What are the advantages/disadvantages of each?

We calculated my slip to be at 14% with the Bravo. Does this leave the door open to pick up some speed with the 5 blade props? Any help appreciated. Thanks.

labbed 34's should work. may be slightly too big, how ever with a couple of trial runs and some conversing you could probably get them dialed in.

if you lab the the 32's you'll end up right on that 5800 mark and probably run 98 maybe 99.

good luck.
