Seriuosly....reggie has probably gotten more people into the sport that we all love than anybody else out there. If he talks sh*t and people dont like it than they will cease to buy his stuff. One thing to remember: It was an advertisement. Advertisements are, by nature, meant to get your attention. To say they are "exaggerated"' is axiomatic.

You don't sell soap by saying, "It gets you clean." You sell it by saying, "It gets you cleaner than anything else on the planet and it will make you a wealthy chick magnet."

Regardless of what boat you own, I can't see getting worked up over an ad. Will an Outerlimits buyer read that ad and say, "Dang, I didn't how great Fountains were. I'm gonna get me a Fountain instead."?

I don't think so.

Will a Fountain buyer see an Outerlimits ad and say, "Dang, I didn't know I could 'Live the Dream.' I'm gonna get me an Outerlimits.

I don't think so.

Was is it a silly and childish ad? For me, yeah. Was it "brilliant" or "genius" marketing. For me, no. But if someone disagrees with me, cool. Agree or disagree. Either way, blood pressure isn't going to change.
