I've had a 24OL with a zz502 pushing around 530hp that would run 74mph gps and that's was it, and it would walk bad over 70mph with no hydraulic steering. I know the construction was a lot different than the 25OL's, with the wood floor, etc. in the 24, but the Baja was still a decent boat.

Then i bought a '05 27 Fever that is awesome, 496HO, runs 70-71mph on gps with a little chop. Having hydraulic steering is a must at these speeds, i will never get another boat without again. I'm the slowest boat in our group we run with and I still think it's a must! There really is no comparison between the two, the finish is incredible on the Fountian compared to the 24OL, but i know the 25OL looks much better built. I can't even get started on the differences, you can just get in and under one, look at the rigging on the back of the dash, and all the quality equipment Fountain uses and anyone could see there is no comparison.
FOUNTAIN Hands Down!!!

BTW. it's for sale, only 90hours, has 2 covers, trailer, $62k.

Its a Fresh-Water boat.

Brought it to Orange Beach, AL once. Flushed it there then drove it in fresh water the next weekend.
