Default Props spinning LH or RH on single

I have a 29 Fountain with a 500EFI and it is set up LH rotation. What difference will there be if any switching to RH rotation.

I like a left hand on a single. The left hand prop seems to balance the torque of the motor and fly straighter.

My 27 had a LH. Damn thing wouldn't turn in 1 direction in reverse. It just crab walked. The other direction, I'd turn in it's own lenght. Hydr prop. Maybe not enough blade area?

I have heard left hand is better for the single fountains, Like said above they fly straighter and with left hand the torque is put on the upper bearing and not so much on the lower half. But there are so many ways of thinking by so many different people look where the boating has gone today.$$$$$$$$$$$$$. run what ever works best and happy boating.

You'll lose speed and list to port because of the engine torque combining with the prop torque. LH counters that. That's why it's LH to begin with.

Rumor has it that Reggie was testing a boat one day and the only prop available was a lh which he ran and was said to have gained speed, I have tested well over a dozen props on my 27 since adding the Procharger and have never seen a difference in top speed and actually wound up with a rh prop as it handled better in my opinion. If lh rotation was the way to go you would see it on all single engine boats.....my .02

Default lh

it seems fountain was having alot of issues with drive failure w/lh so from 05' on 27 & 29 come rh . 03,04 came lh . Lh was 1-3 mph faster from my experience . I have a 03 29 came with lh switched to rh

just my .02
