Speed expectations should be about 85 or so? Thoughts?

I'm looking to go offshore here on the west coast and hit our inland lakes. I was told that the 38 is far better than the 35, much like the 29 is better than the 27 for speed/ride.

Thanks for any input and helping me build my purchase criteria.
Hey Runnin a fever I have a 1993 Fever and love the way it handles in rough and smooth waters the deep vee bottom that they are called gives me peace of mind on tight turns and lazy 8s' with no concern of skipping in the water what so ever. Bob

This one seems to be priced well.

It looks like I'm going to have to wait for a bit, economy is just too slow right now. Besides, by the prices posted under different threads I'm upside down in my 27 (more than usual). Bummer is the 27 only has 100 hours on it, the wife won't hit up the salt water on it - too short she says.

Thanks.
