The 32 and 35 are about the same weight, but the 35 is better balanced, sits and flies level, you get a little more speed from a 35, it handles 3'-4' chop in the river without a problem.
Biggest benefit to me, a little more room in the engine box and an extra 1 1/2 feet in the cockpit between the bolsters and the bench seat.
If you go for a new staggered 35, I think you give that cockpit room up for more engine bay. Our 2000 35 Classic was a sweet boat.
...and apparently a ton of good 35's to pick from.
