Default Shift cable

Has anyone ever had a shift cable pop out of the aluminum holder. I had the outdrives trimmed all the way up backing off of a shallow ramp, I went to put the starbord motor in neutral and it was stuck in reverse. I pulled the outdrive everything looks ok. I was just wondering if anyone had this happen to them attributing it to having the outdrive trimmed all the way up..

I have seen where you my have to bend the tab down , I have seen them be really tight in the area in which they travel. causing them to stick in gear.

I honestly hope you did not put that thing in gear with the drives in the trailer position
