the longer taps on if it would get on plane better we have 2'' shorties with 1'' spacer and about 700 hp per motor i am very happy with the speed but it is pretty hard to get on plane would the longer tabs help any

Might even be harder to get on plane...I went to the 380's on our 42 when I did the boxes and -2's but didn't like them as for being too hard to trim the boat level...too sensitive.

My friend had an 04 35 Lightning with the long level mounted tabs. He put herring props on and the props ended up hitting the tabs. Damaged both the tabs and a very expensive set of props!

Yup, 03 35 with 30" tabs mounted level, need to be aware and keep tabs all the way up when trimming drives very far, or there will be contact if steering turned.

Gnorthga, what props you running with that drive set-up ? Seems like I remember you running fast, where is your x-dimension at with the spacer in ?

I had the long tabs on my 35, worked great all around.
had to trim inside corner to eliminate prop interfearance.

On the newer boats they are adding vent tubes to the drives. Do not know if they will work on your drives. Do you have bravos? Call the factory and ask for Brian Forehand. See what they offer to help.
