A twin engine boat with 2 batteries and 1 switch? Sorry, I assumed you had 2 switches. But switching to start each motor seems a pain. What yr boat?

You say you have to be in BOTH to start both motors? What happens when you are in 1 or 2 pos? Just 1 of the motors starts, depending on which pos the switch is in decides which motor gets the juice? Trying to determine if the batteries or the motors are tied together, and what is being selected. I'm thinking the batteries may be connected on a common post from your statement of needing to be in the BOTH position.
