I think theres more chips on peoples shoulders than opinions here
. Of course your AT is the fastest, best handling, good looking, super power, bionic, able to leap tall buildings in a single bound boat!!!!!What was I thinking to voice my opinion????????

Actually, my Fountain is a 47 Sport Cruiser and it is a great boat. My only complaint is that the deck is much taller than a lightning so it looks dorky (kind of like an Active Thunder); however, this allows for much more headroom in the cabin, so I can see why the Active Thunder Cult members LOVE their boats even though they look goofy.

Seems like you took it to heart...I made a comment about a fountain,in the fountain section and voiced my opinion of what I think is a great boat. Its not that I bashed A/T in the A/T forumn. Foul language only comes out of foul people..... even smaller people do it over the net. Trust me, I'll get over it I hope you do to.

I have a 99 42' lightning. My wife is 5'1" her head touches the ceiling when standing up at the entrance to the bathroom. Headroom gets slightly lower as you proceed forward. Hope this helps, any other questions PM me!

Never said Fountain was a bad boat, only voiced my opinion on the topic, i have ridden on lots of them and do like them very much, but your quote was pretty clear on your attempt to bash me, no hard feelings rubbing is racing. lol

I wish they offered a taller deck 42. The boat is a phenomenal performer and practical to trailer but the cabin height is a killer for me. For most people, the Express Cruisers are a solution, but I still like to trailer to different places for variety. Great Lakes are too cold the first half of the season but great later on and so on.

The decks on a Active Thunder look sleek, giving them about 5'3" of headroom.. it all depends on where and who is measuring ....Correct me if I'm wrong...I think you were referring to the Sonic, which is some what similar, but raised so much through out the majority of the deck that you can get 6' plus in their cabins.. I will agree with you at certain angles it is not the most attractive..but you do have headroom..which is important to me...Always a compromise somewhere..

I totally agree, their 42 is their best performing model..actually that bottom is one of the top 3 performing 40' bottoms period. The decks on all the Fountains need to be revised, massaged, and brought into the new millenium. That boat with about 5'10" would be the ticket. Where do I sign up...
