I have a 2000' 27' Fever , it came with the tall windshield . I preffer the looks of the low profile windshield that came on the newer 27's 04' & 05' . Does anyone know where I can get one at a reasonable price ? I talked to Fountain and they want over $4500.00 for one . Anyone looking for a tall windshield that wants to trade ? Any help would be cool !

2000 was an odd year for the 27 with the full frame windshield. It has a "square" framed into the center of it. It is the only year that they did that. Not sure that a windshield from the later years would fit, but I'm sure that Robert Toler, at the factory could tell you, if he is still there. The low profile windshields provide absolutely no wind protection, if that matters to you. I know it matters to me, but maybe I'm just getting old, too, and don't tolerate the "wind in my face" anymore.

Thanks Bob T , I have talked to Robert at Fountain but they want an arm & a leg for a new one . I was hoping to find a takeoff unit or one off of a wrecked boat or maybe a trade for my tall one . I also talked to Taylormade and they are quite pricey too . I may try to get a custom one made out of plexiglass similar to the old style windsheilds . Only thing is the deck is molded differently for the glass windshields . I recall seeing a picture of an old 24'cs Fountain with a curved plexiglass windshield it looked sweet . Im not so concered about wind in my face , after all thats kinda the point of having a peformance boat . I just think the tall windsheild don't look right on the 27' and makes it a huge pain to climb over onto the bow when beaching .
