My wife keeps telling me the same thing. 57 this April. Back on track. The only other boat that interested me was a 42/850 boat, but the 125 hr limit before suggested rebuilds put a damper on that, but boy that is the ultimate package IMO.:cool-smiley-011::cool-smiley-011:

My significant other just says "It's your money honey, you buy it, I'll ride in it." She's a good sport! :drink:

The only draw back to adding the years that I've noticed lately is that you find yourself knowing more and more people in the obit section of the newspaper. Guess that just goes to prove that you need to enjoy things while you can. Can't wait for summer, I love to burn gas!!!

My wife is more of a bartering type, I buy a new boat, she buys new furniture, and we get to use both!:drink:

We are going to be in Miami at the show on Thurs and leave Mon. Not really looking for anything but warm weather and cold beer. I guess if your wife is the bartering type you are getting ready to play "Lets Make a Deal". Good luck with your boat search. Its too bad Fountain doesnt have any performance boats in the water anymore so you could water test something there. The Fountain factory is really convienent for testing, you can be in 3 different boats in a 1/2 hr in the same water conditions to really get a feel for them.

Key word here!

When the boat salesman says " Do you want to buy this boat?" .... I say "I do!" .... But that's where I draw the line on the I do's. Just think how much boat that furniture money could buy. :D

RE,
Pretty funny!:drink:, but our system seems to work pretty well for us. She has talked me into paying off our house this year, and selling the Nordic, (Keeping the Hydrostream) and waiting for some more of the "Killer" repo deals to come along, and then I get a new boat. I'll be traveling most of the summer/fall this year, working out of state anyway.... She does really well with dealing with my boating diesase........:drink:

What I want to know is how is she with the HydroStream? If she's into that you've got a real keeper! Had three of them back in the day and terrorized the locals at Higley for years, often think I should get another just for chits and giggles.

3 or 4 of my boating buddies, that own bigger performance boats decided that it would be neat to relive the good old days that way also. They all went out and bought boats we grew up with. One bought a Mirage, 2 bought STV's and one bought an Allison. They would go out and run around our river and had a blast, cheap to operate, simple for one person to handle, perfect. It was all good until I lost my friend Martin when he blew one of the boats over, and got killed. That kind of put a damper on things, they all sold, or quit using the "little" boats. I get the urge too, had a 21 Eliminator. I think I'll go Center Console.:drink::drink:
