got it. i kinda want staggered motors!! no trips. unless fuel consumption is better on trips? is it

I would say that if you run all 3 at idle the answer is no. You can, however, shut the center motor down around the dock and idling.
I think it had 500 HP's which does away with the blower maintenance worries. At WOT you will burn copious amounts of fuel with the 500HP's, BUT, the 1995 boat is 4 years newer (resale$$) and has 2 steps, which reduce wetted surface, ie., drag, and you might even find that at a 60 mph cruise the two boats would be very close to the same fuel consumption...... You would be wise to get the Fountain spec sheets on the two boats if possible. Every boat is tested in the water at the factory and comes with it's own sheet in the owners pack. I'm just trying to make it hard for you. :lolhit: The twin staggered is less worry, less moving parts, etc. Maybe you can get the price down when it comes time to negotiate your deal. |

Shoot over some pics of it...There is a 35 Fountain owner at our Marina that wants a twin engine straight bottom like ours, but ours is not for sale.

You can, however, shut the center motor down around the dock and idling. I use all three motors to park, so that doesn't help either. :evilb: Three motors help you get thru the no wake zone faster, look cool, make a ton of noise and have a faster cruise speed. I can run 30 mph at 2,100 and stay on plane. That's a plus at LOTO where the night time speed limit is 30. Maybe easier on the drives since it's got an extra to get on plane? That's about all I can think of for postives. More oil, parts, gas and just extra stuff. The center engine exhaust comes out the eight holes in the back of the boat and the swim platform vibrates like that old NFL game with the metal top. You know where you put the cotton ball into one players hand and turned it on and they all fell over. Then you spent three hours setting it up again. :drink: |

I doubt it 3 motors turing 3,000 rpm have to burn more than two motors at 3,000 rpm! It's just simple math :grinser010:
