What is the best package to update drive height and props on 99 Fountain with stock 500EFIs. The engines will be freshened and brand new and will make about 550 each. They make 1 or 2 inch shorty lowers right? Which one to use? What props? 5 blade? The drives seem to be burried way to deep in water at speed

I have a 98, and went with 2 in shorties. compared to todays boats its still conservative and runs well with 4 blade bravos.

TJ , my '98 42 has P5X 5 Blades, Seems to carry to bow well. stock lowers, I would like to see what -2 lowers would do, but I suspect you would loose some leverage to carry the bow, I had them on my '99 35 Fountain. Not really worth the $$, there was a small increase in speed, I would take the money & spend it upgrading the motors to 600+ , that should put you in the mid to upper 80's
