I have a 47 Fountain Sport Cruiser. As you know, it was replaced by the express cruiser.
I think there are several advantages in our climate over the express because of trailability. Evern if you aren't trailering regularly, it is easy to do and requires no permits because of width. The express cruisers are too wide and then you're either stuck with the marina overcharges for off-season storage, or have to figure out how to get the boat moved.
I looked at 47 lightnings but the performance is about the same with the same power and the cabin head room is much better in the sport cruiser. I can't deal with not being able to stand up in the cabin when overnighting.
There are some great deals out there no matter what you choose.
