I'm not sure of a better place than the factory for a job like this. This boat is a pretty extreme example of a "new" cuddy.

He will send me pictures when it's finished, pretty sure it's where I'd like to take our boat if we have this work done. :drink:

The price tag for this 47 is over $100k; however, other than the triple 500 EFI's it will be a "new" boat. New dash panels with gauges, gel work, etc. They even put a new gen in the boat.

Wow, what that 47' sunk? Can't see how it was all rotten.

I'd like to know the reason for all that rot to. Boat constantly with standing water and unsealed stringers? That's alot of water damage

You would think he would have known just by walking down the center of the cabin. Should have felt soft.

X2 A good survey would have caught that

This boat was a deal, the new owner thought he did all the right things, survey, etc. It turned out the cuddy was rotten.
Anybody know who did the survey and didn't catch this? That person should be in the beware section.:angry-smiley-038:

Forehand said the surveyor told the buyer the carpet was just wet and it did sound like litigation is pending over the deal. The only reason I mentioned it because you just can't hire anyone to do a survey and think you won't have problems. You need to use someone that has credentials.

I'll ask if they found the source of the problem too.

Hope everything works out, on the good side he is going to end up with a killer NEW interior.
