I would use some ss set screws. Doubt you'll notice them. They will be below flush and you could dab some sealant in the head when done. You're probably the only one that will ever know.

how about a SS stud w/locktite on it then put as nut w/washer and nylock nut

After I sent that last message i was really thinking about that set screw idea with the all thread but before someone had said something about SS set screws and here they are again, I build robotic lights tons of set screws but I have never heard of an "SS" set screw. What is it????????

Coulda just went to your local hardware store and bought a SS bolt with the needed length of threads and cut to length. Use a tap to clean up the messed up threads and your back in business.
