Replace Cabin Mood Lights with LED's??
I've been wanting to replace my old looking warm colored Mood Lights with those flat LED strips I've seen and wondered if anyone has done it? I'm talking about the dotted cabin lights around the galled and headrests.
If so, how difficult was it to take apart and to get the LED strips in there?

I put some in my boat recently. I used LED strings for the rear area. These strings have 8 LED pods with 2 LED's each on them. Adhesive backing. I screwed a 3/4" wide, 1/16" thick aluminum flat bar under the gunwales, and stuck the adhesive to that.
In the front, I used round lights with diffuser lenses. I tried several before finding these and found them too bright or harsh with little dispersion other than straight out. The diffuser lens really helps.
I bought it all from superbrightleds.com for under $50 shipped.

wow! that's exactly what I'm talking about! I am wondering how difficult it was to get back there and install the LED's in the lights that go around the cabin? Is your buddy on this forum?
thanks!
