Smile MY 1st 32 fountain

My son and I took out our new 32 today for the 1st time, 30 min test ride. WOW, nice upgrade from a single 27 checkmate. Twins are new to me. 502 mpi, B-1 drives., 4blade 27 hydros spinning inwards, The silent choice is not working yet, the exhaust air trap under the swim platform was really rattling the boat when leaving the docks. I have read that this is common with a 32 ? We were taking on alot of water, bildge pumps keep going off. After looking at the drive bellows at home I think it is the speedo pilot tube seal under the boat? Otherwise greatful to have a boat like this. Glad to be on the water.

Congrats. I purchased my 32 earlier this year, I love the boat. The rattle under swim platform is normal. They all vibrate because they sit so low. Check your rub rail for water leaking in.

Thanks. On my speedo pick up hose under the boat, there should be a through hull fitting type seal? not just chauk right? What type of fittings do other fountains have?

Nice Upgrade Glen !
The exhaust pressure getting trapped below the swim platform creates the rattling, silent choice will eliminate that when off plane. Try to identify some of what is rattling you may be able to insulate those items to lessen the noise, but it is probably many items. All models do it if you get the tail end of the boat low enough in the water.
Hope to see it and check it out at an event soon, congrats.

Nice Glen, great upgrade for yourself. Maybe we will catch up on Oneida at some point this summer or in the bay. Feel free to tie to us if you see us out and about. I have a good amount of stock fountain stuff if you need a part or two. I still have a twin silent choice set up someplace.

Congrats glen george. I had a checkmate 253, 27 and a 32 fountains loved then all. if you are going to keep a tube type speedo you need to change the hose thur the transom and put a bulkhead fitting in the transom with two a hose on the inside and a hose on outside so it seals off the transom from water. Other than that its common for 32's to leak water around the rub rails and ext. tubes because they sit so low that what makes them so COOL!!!

32s sit low in the back it can also leak around the rub rail as for the pick up 5200 marine sealant will do the trick ,congrats on the new boat former C,mate owner here as well

Should I be able to see the h2o leaking in from behind the engines if its the rub rail leaking into the engine compartment. Is the sealant applied on the outside around the railing or do I have to remove the trim?
P.S can a person get into the engine compartment? I plan to run it with the silent choice tonight.
