Nah, not really, I was just curious about the choice of drive. But, yes, I guess I did partly ask because I think a 1000 hp is alot for any kind of Bravo style drive.

The problem isnt in the drives....never was.

I know that it isn't. Just interested in why you picked the SCX over the Arnesons, or another surface drive for that matter.

Again, I hope you'll get everything working and have a great season.

Have you ever wondered where the term "Blown" comes from? :lolhit:

All kidding aside hope it all works out here, can be a very frustrating deal when you are in the middle of it.

^^ that would be a rare engine indeed. Maybe they are running small boost, 1psi :lolhit:
Even if the engines last anything with a blower tends to cause more headaches and need more frequent/extensive maintenance. So why do I still want a Fountain with 600's :angry-smiley-038:

SCX's internals on both upper and lower are a far cry from a standard bravo style drive...but you are correct..we are pushing the limits for sure.

Thank you!!

Can't sleep, so I read this entire thread. WOW. I really feel for you TRL. I can't imagine. I'm sorry you are having the problems that you are having. Just revel in the fact that it can't last forever.(at least I don't think).
Let me know if there is anything I can do to help. I'm certainly not trying to solicite your business. I just feel terrible for you and would like to see you running your boat before you have to be committed or file bankruptcy. I would absolutely be glad to help in any way I can. Good luck buddy.

Unfortunately (or not, depending on how you look at it), not most have the patience that TRL has. I hate to see anyone have the problems he has had with a boat, car, motorcycle, whatever. It takes something that they have a passion for and just ruins it. There have been a bunch of guys that have permanetly left boating over 20% of the problems he has had. I would hate to see that happen since this sport needs everyone of us to keep it going. Ultimitely, the more people that continue this sport, the better it is for me, whether they are directly my customers or not. Because of them, I may get work from it at some point in time. It's not all about that though. It's more about doing something that you love to do, or continuing to do it even after a setback like this. Eventually it will all come together. Hang in there.
