I met Eddie back around 2003. I had gone broke buying custom power from engine builders and I had friends that were running most of the builders that I hadn't and it was always one thing after another from all of them. I bought a pair of Merc 500 takeouts from Eddie and I talked to him for most of the day as he showed me various engines that he was building. Most of them were on a 598ci platform with whipples. I had also built my own blower motors and they all blew up. I learned more in one day from Eddie than I had in my entire hotrod career. I ran the 500's for a season and then Eddie began building all of my circle of friends engines and my personal engines. He completely re-rigged my old boat and to say that I got a PHD out of the process is an understatement. He showed me a fuel plumbing problem that was responsible for melting my own engines that I built. 2 years ago I bought an Outerlimits with another builders 1100 Quadrotors in it. The weather was bad and I didn't even sea trial it. I gave the guy a cashiers check and then drove 800 miles home. When I got home, I called Eddie to come over and ck it out. He pointed out the good points of the rigging and the bad. He reworked the blowers for me with his quadrotor upgrades and made some other changes. Now I have a turn key 1200hp 125mph v bottom that I just change oil in. If Eddie had not come over and examined what I had and made the changes he did before I went out and matted the boat, I would have spent tons of $$$ and who knows how much downtime. Eddie knows his business and gets smarter with every set of engines he builds. Eddie was building 1400 HP blower motors in 2004/2005 with hydraulic roller cams, longer refresh intervals than mercs lower HP motors and they had the drivability of 500s. You are in good hands.

I'm sorry Eric, as I hate to laugh at your expense, yet again, but that pic right there is freakin funny.

Come on Dean. Can't I bask in the glory for just a minute or two:lolhit:

I do have a few pics of the engines as they were taken apart. I am hesitant to post the pics and things that we found since it will look as though I am trying to start something and/or hurt someone's reputation. I will gladly sent the pics and info to Eric and if he wants to post it then that is up to him.
Eddie

I know what your are saying about his head but he has earned it. We are all repeat customers too. One client is on his second set of 1200/1400's. Another friend of mine has a set of 925's (that made a 1000hp) that gave 288 trouble free hours and are being refreshed and upgraded to 1150's that are going into a new Hustler that will be at the Miami Boat show this year. (They ran as well as they did the day they were installed when they were pulled too.) Eddie has built me multiple motors and when I freshen up my current set up, Eddie will be doing them with upgrades as well. He had a set of 650's come in the other day that had over 450 hours on them for a refresh. My advice (that I had to learn the hard way) is to not cut corners, do the rigging that he recommends and the payoff will be will worth the investment. In our area, we are all VERY fortunate to have such a valuable resource so close to us.

I was not able to attend the 2011 Shootout due to my wifes health issues, but we all went in 2010. I came in second for top gun V bottom and guess who beat me.....EDDIE! :) I could not have been happier if I had won. His motors won the class below and he had several others running around that weekend. We all ran the hell out of boats for four days, drove 18 miles to the racecourse everyday and we were racing with 3/4 tanks of fuel and all the chit in the boats. I was making sandwiches and handing out drinks while I was in the staging area. The only time any of us opened the hatches were to do a visual and show off the bling. Some of the best times I have ever had in my 27+ years of boating have all been running Eddies power. You always hear about when something bad happens to someone with custom power but you don't hear as much about the success stories. The reason is....the guys are out enjoying thier boats. I have just read so much negative info lately that I really felt like sharing another side for once. OK, I'm done. Back to the drama.:evilb:

I love that pic , thats funny I think Eddie better pick up the pace theres allot of work piling up !!!! , again I think the people need to know and to see the real deal , these are just facts plain and simple . I do think in this business sad but true people dont know what they are getting , they cant see whats inside there engine , just the builders word and the bill , like Erick he had trust but that wasnt enough . By the way we love to hassle Eddie . would love to see some pics but thats up to you guys .

I hate Triple 300's.....but that is pretty much a spot on image as to what I have in my head of the motors. LOL.

As I am sure you all know by now I have a pretty good sense of humor over this whole phucked up mess...I enjoy the good nature jabbing. Its either I laugh or I kill someone...lol.

I was thinking of putting a bigger motor in mine. I think I am cured.
