Hey Quincy. All it takes is time and money. If you have the money I'll make the time.

Hope the family is well. Give the wife and kids a big hug and a kiss for us. We need to get back to Bermuda soon for another visit. Talk soon.

Eddie, do you remove the paint from the water pump and exhaust port surfaces?

No I do not. I use to tape off the exhaust face of the head, but it would just leave an edge for the paint to lift. In just a few months, the paint would start to lift at that sharp edge. The same holds true for the water pump flanges.

I started painting the flanges about a year ago and have had really good luck with it. The paint holds up well. It will start to come off some right where the exhaust and water pump touches, but not that bad. It still doesn't leave a thick edge to lift.

No, Imron is a single stage. This is PPG base coat/clear coat.

Thanks, I was assuming you didn't remove it, being a pain in the ass to do so.
