Another Bad A$$ 42
Went for ride this afternoon with RBH. Tried some new props and the reults were impressive to say the least. Congrats RB that is a big number. Fastest I have ever been in a boat.
Cannot get picture to post. Speed was 134.8 at 5900 rpms. Allen |
are those stock 1075 s or have they been tweeked ?
|
Stock as far as I know.
|
NICE !!!
Love the boat, the layout, the paint, uh yeah the speed too. Very Nice. Not to hi-jack, but what ever happened to the yellow 42 that was at the factory last winter getting new interior, paint, and a set of 1500's ?? Never heard if they got it to "run". |
I have resized and it will still not let upload the picture. says upload failed. Any ideas on what I am doing wrong.

That is flat haulin. I cannot immagine that level of speed in a boat.
|
Several people will remember this boat, it originally had 850's and 1.5 ratio drives when it was new. We purchased this boat back last November and change it over to 1075' and 1.35 ratio drives. Everything was purchased from Mercury to change it over. ECM's, blower pulleys, and camshafts, the boat ran over 132 in the spring but didn't like the 6 blade props at that speed. We ran 17-38-5blades 16 rake yesterday, I think we are getting close. The boat is really a fun piece now, thanks’ to all for the positive comment. Also it would not have been possible without the help from EB Marine in Nashville and Brian at Fountain.

That's hauling the mail brother... I always thought those 6 Bl props lifted the transom too much! Now it will carry the bow a little better and roll. Very Nice Run
Did you pass the house yesterday? I heard someone running hard up the lake but they were past the cove before I looked out... Must've been a fountain! |

That was a nice pass this afternoon. Thanks to you and Eric for going with me today and helping me with the boat this season. Maybe we can squeeze it for a little more mph next spring.

Awesome RB!!!
Mark (bullhead), I'm thinking the first set of 1350's in a 42 Fountain is just what you need!! Nashville group is hauling A$$! :drink: |

Bullhead was that you red 42 there ? If so that thing is amazing. That was my favorite boat at the run.
|
these v bottoms are getting crazy fast, there was a 43 outerlimits that went 140mph in the mile shootout, and was said to run 146mph at wot.

That's the boat I built the engines for and they ran it early spring time and it went around 130 or 135 and it is still there getting new paint and interior and gauges. |
