Boat Lift Bunks for 42 Lightning
I am Looking for some good info about the correct length for the bunks of a side mounted lift. I am on the LOTO and in the process of buying a lift for my 2007 Lightning. One of the Lifts is a 15k poly with 20' long bunks on 25' tanks. Salesman is stating this is normal but how could this be, bunks are not even 1/2 the Length of boat? The other is a Drew with 26' tanks and bunks. Thanks in advance

Does the lift have a Vee Pad up front?
My lift has 16' bunks. Be surprised how much they actually support. Gotta subtract 3' just for the swim platform, then the length of where the hull starts it's upwards bend to the beak.
16' boards, 32' boat

To answer your question, I can't answer accurately. I can tell you I have had plenty of PolyLifts and you are buying the best lift! Also, I'm sure they have set up lifts for plenty of 42s on the lake.
