Buy the boat and take it to Fountain Performance Marine and have them fit it to you. Roger in NC

Question Roger, did that 2" make that much difference or do you still have to fold your legs or sit all weird to get comfortable, is 2" all they can go back due to gunwale design on the inside?? Thanks!

Lol yeah I have found that as well, mine does not like going under 30mph.

But to the OP. Most of these performance boats are going to be tighter. One option would be to move the seat back a few inches. But I must admit fountain probably could have given up 6-8in in the cuddy and made the cockpit a whole lot bigger and better.

Never seen a sport boat that liked to go move at speeds meant for tubing. You can get on plane, but as soon as you pull back on the throttle for the tubing speeds, the boat will fall back in it's hole.

Any boat interior can be modified. Just takes $$ And with the way Fountain bolsters are part of the interior, it'll take more $$ to make it work. Not as simple as unbolting and moving the seats back, unless you don't mind the hacked look. You'll enjoy the Fountain! :)

yeah thats what I was thinking about the holes. Im sure you could fill it to look reasonable or get carpets that would cover it. But you get a performance boat thats what it was built for not for tubing not for tons of people, not for fishing etc.

I love my fountain and want a newer and bigger one, but there is part of me that wouldnt mind going to something more practical at times.

If you drop tabs all the way down it should keep boat on plane at low speeds ,
without tabs my boat wont plane under 30mph,, with tabs dropped almost all way down and drive nuetral I can plane at 19-20mph.. Engine doesnt sound happy but it can do it.. Helps out since nighttime speed limit is 25mph.

Tabs make no difference on mine. Tabs down just create a bigger wake, while the nose is pointed to the sky.

Umm, stupid question in a the Fountain forum and this far into the thread, but, what speed is appropriate for pulling a tube anyway? Do they have a Bayliner forum in here?

[QUOTE=Wildman_grafix;3725804]You didn't know you were in the fountain section?

No, I just always go to New Posts and check the subject line. What can I say, I am lazy and besides I just plain like performance boats, Velocity, Fountain, etc.
