No one answered the question.
What is the difference between a 35' Executioner and a 35' Lightning?
Lets start with stock boats.
Cabin? Hull? swim platfrom.
I am used to Fevers but am looking to go to a 35'

Assuming 2000 and up. There are other things depending on years but this in a general idea.
Lightning. 3 inch taller top cap. Twin step. Swim ladder. Anchor locker. Wrap around winshdield. One engine hatch
Executioner. Classic style deck. Single step. No ladder or anchor locker. Plastic windscreen or aluminum fairing. Split hatches.

Executioner was more of an entry level and was always cheaper than the Lightning due to things mentioned above like the old original style deck, no anchor locker, most Lightnings have a fridge etc. personally, I prefer the Ex but that's me.
Advertised prices are inconsistent, such a wide spread. Some vendors seem realistic while some are probably dreaming. Engines make a huge difference in price, blue motors are dearer than stock 496's. Most Lightnings have blue motors.
What I've seen advertised, from around 2003 up, Executioneers asking 60k up and Lightning from about 70k up. Engine size, hours, age, condition and vendors personal opinion all contribute to the asking price!
They're both nice, Lightning twin step is faster. Good luck.

RR I appreciate your feedback
I actually like the original style and I still am of the opinion that the black 496s will last longer than the blue motor with less maintenance.
Probably I believe because the 496 owners don't run the hell out of them.
My search continues.
Thanks for the input RR & ICU

The other reason is the twin step lightnings are faster, and when you get to the staggard lightnings a lot faster.
I will say if you put a lot of hours on a boat, the EX with closed cooled 496HO motors would be a nice package. There was a guy on here that had a twin step side by side with 496 motors. Only one I have seen and maybe one 2007-2009 has been made.
