Default procharged hp500 carb in a 27 fever

Has anyone ran a procharger on their hp500 carb in a 27 fever step hull. If so what speed did you get and what prop size did you move up to. I am running a stock bravo 1 outdrive

You do that and your Bravo one's are toast.

that's not necessarily true.....

depending on your final HP number you can probably get near to low 80s and spin a 28p

They say 20hp = 1mph. What Procharger are you installing? M1 is worth about 100hp or so

Cool

Which procharger and how much boost. with that information go to Bam marine and figure est speed. Average speed increase is from 10 to 20 MPH. Procharger do not hit the drive as hard. The key is having your carb set up right and upgraded fuel system. On my Baja I went from 66gps to 83.6 gps with 5Lb boost. I run a 28 bravo1 labbed for a great hole shot and switch to 32 non labbed for better slip number but lose a little on top end. Going to love the chime walk.

Well I am looking at a older m1 pro charger. I think I might install it myself and take it to a shop to have the oil line hooked up and the carb tuned in rite. I don't trust myself to tune it in. I'm hoping to be in the upper 80's

good luck and be careful. 27s are a handful once you get there

Well....dad has a 93' Fever with a Bravo 1 Drive. He put a blower on his 502 and "said" he had gotten to 91 MPH once upon a time. Not sure on that, he has always told a tale or two, but he did say that around 80mph it would chine a little, but if you slowly power through it then it would smooth out. Not sure on prop used but he has always been high on the M+ when it comes to speed for his 27' Fever.

The 98 hull may be slightly different than the 93....not sure if they added step to the 27 or not. As far as the outdrive....my thought is that the main issue with "keeping" the bravo when upping the HP is pushing on it too hard out of the hole, once you get on plane I don't think you should have any issues with it unless you go to some huuuuuge HP. I've known several guys to put blowers/chargers on 500/502/540 and not have any issues with the bravo one..... then there are those that claim that you can't add over 600 hp to the bravo 1 or it will spontaneously combust. I pushed a bravo 1 single engine with approx 675-700 hp but took it super easy out of the hole and never had a problem.
