High end of a 93 35 lightning with 500hp's is about 40k book value that is where the previously stated number came from. I'm not looking to lowball or offend anyone but I also can't see paying more than a boat is worth. It's hard to sell a boat in today's market, I know it took me over a year to sell a 29 that was priced lower and as clean as any I've seen on the market today.

X2, has to be priced right in this market or it will sitt for a long time.

Not very many priced right for this market, most are priced on what they think they are worth or what they owe! Oh well, I will wait for a good deal. I think Scott Shogren's article on here says it all!

The truth is that the market is FLOODED with used fountains, especially 35 single step. In this poor. market which mr. Shogren just wrote a great article about, that means all performance boat prices are drivin way down and coupled with the fact that there are an abundance of 35's out there that drives the market even lower for that brand or model. Like it or not that is what it is and if you don't have your boat priced just right then you will have it for sale for a long long time. I was able to sell mine in less then a month. Due to the fact it was mint and priced lower then every other sonic in its class.

Well theres your price range... should be takers on a $40K offer since there are so many for sale in the $60-110K range

The 502Mag boat has a less bite you in the ass later factor.

Or offer Scott $45K for his and make him eat his own words.

Nobody is saying to offer 45k for a 2005 executioner twin 496ho. But when there are several that have bin for sale for over a year at 70-80k then that's telling you something. Then you see another for 90k and you say holy sh!t this guy needs a clue.

did you ever think that boats are for sale for a while because people cant afford to buy them and NOT because they are not worth the money????

Are the ones Back4more listed over priced? Remember those are just asking prices.

That's sales. Things are worth what people can and are willing to pay. People don't realize in this economy things are worth less. Shogren just had a beautiful 2005 35 lightning twin 525 listed for 89,500. Yet I just saw a 496 35 ex 2006 for sale for 120000. I think over 100 for any 35 ex is just too much. It seems with fountains as many other brands people tend to overvalue them. I love them, want one real bad just not ready to spend 90000 on a boat yet. If priced right for the economy stuff is usually selling quickly.

Back4More 02-11-2013 04:32 AM

It was an 04 35.
Still dont think you can touch any decent single step for under $50K.
