Default 29 Fever opinions?

I am thinking of selling my 29 Outlaw w/twins and buying a 29 Fever w/a single 500. Speeds should be close, but how about rough water ride? I love the Baja in the rough stuff, however if I could get the same speeds with one less motor that would be solid.

I have never been in a 29 Outlaw but I can tell you about the Fountain...

With the HP500 EFI mine goes around 75-80 on the speedo. The guy I bought it from said he GPS'd it at 75.6 one cool day so figure low to mid 70's.

With the step and pad you are not going to get the same ride as you would on the Baja... I mean isn't the Baja a 24 degree bottom all the way to the transom? The Fountain will have a more "spirited" ride...

Also.. the 29' includes the swim step as part of the LOA. The Baja does not so you are getting a "true" 29 footer with the Baja...

What kind of speed do you get out of your Baja and what power do you have?

As far as top speed the Outlaw with twins, depending on motors may be alittle faster. 29 Outlaw has twin 496 H.O.'s and runs in the 75-78 mph range. The Outlaw with twins in the ruff stuff may handle it better just by the fact of the extra weight of 2 motors. Went from a 27 Fountain to a 32 Fountain and their was no comparison in the ride. Partly because of the extra length, but more because of the extra weight of twin motors. Now have a 35 and it rides better than the 32 mostly because of being better balanced.

My Outlaw runs around 72-73 GPS average loads. I've seen 74 but not often. I am running 454 mags at a max of 4600 rpm, so I know I have some more rpm left. The 25 3 blades are the fastest for my setup. Same speeds with one less engine sounds good though. (unless it breaks)
I just don't want to sacrafice the ride. I figure the fever wins so many F1 races so it must be very capable.

Thanks Guys,
Mike, I wish my boat was sold so I could buy used. If I make a move it will probably involve a trade in. I won't die if the perfect situation does not come along, cause I really like my boat. However, I could spend more time on the water if I only fed 1 engine. If my boat sells private party, I will definitely talk with you.
