After 20 years of drooling over these magnificent machines, I bought my first Fountain today.

It's an 89/90 27/29' with twin MK-IV's.
Boat was actually curing in the mold when the C.G. made the length rule change.

Got it from the orig owner along with pick-up bed full of extras, the official shop manuals and the original Myco trailer. Even has the wheels that look like the Fountain logo! Boat has been garage kept this whole time!!

Had a life-long Fountain mech/driver go over the transom/stringers and gave it a general look-over. He was just as impressed as I was to its' condition..

Can't wait to take it out.
Think I'll go back out to the shop and drool some more!!

At some point the Coasties changed the rules on how boats are measured...before it was from the nose to the transom, then they changed it to overall length including any swim platforms....so in the past the molded swim platforms were not considered in the length of the boat..but now they are

I'll try and get some pics up soon. Boat has an interesting history.
As the story goes, and I have no reason to doubt it, Reggie took it to the boat show in New Orleans in 1990.

Congratulations! You are now enjoying one of the 2 best days of a boat owners life... the day he buys his boat... of course we all know the other is the day he sells his boat...

Seriously, congratulations! Sounds like a sweet boat.
