Thank you and your patience on this is appreciated. Sorry I let you slip threw the cracks and I will make it right.

It was an on going thing that was pretty hard to handle and I thought I could keep ahead of it but it all was a little much especially around the holidays. Life happens to all of us so the best thing is to just keep in mind no matter how bad things can get someone out there has it worse. So I am in a better place after this tragedy and I think everyone it effected has a different look at life so in the end some good came from it. On a lighter note your new boat looks badass got any pics of it on here? My fault... I love it!

Thanks!! I'm in the process of doing some updates... Putting a blue powder coated stern rail around the sunpad (wife and kids need something to hold onto when the boats rolling around); putting full length blue deck rails on the bow and removing the center rails (she's too big not to have something to grab onto when docking... also not easy to hang fenders for rafting)...

also going to do some graphics on the hull sides but probably going to wait until next winter for that. counting the days till spring..

Did you get the shore power battery charger working? We could never get it figured out this summer.

Funny you should mention that. During the survey, we determined that the 110 system itself was disconnected and had to be rewired somewhat because the boat had been overseas and modified for European Union voltage. The OL guys fixed the AC power but I couldn't get the battery charger to work either and after a bunch of troubleshooting, I finally determined that the battery charger itself was shot. I had to buy a new one, but ProMariner gave me a decent discount as an existing customer. Installing the new charger after I finish my long to-do list.. Just removed and pressure checked all of the headers, changed all of the sea water pumps and hoses; drained and refreshed the anti-freeze; changed the drive oils, etc. Lots of stuff to do before spring..

Ran-Dom 32 01-30-2014 02:36 PM

that is a sweet looking 47... I like the looks of just the center bow rail... but I know what you mean , the full rails sure are handy for docking & rafting

Wildman_grafix 01-30-2014 06:33 PM

Leave it all white with the blue rails and windshield. Looks great!

Very classy.

Yeah.. I want to see what it looks like with the rails first before I do anything else. I think the blue rails will add some color and look pretty good.. should have some new pics in a few weeks..

The only it would look better than all white like it is, would be with a Mitcher t job. Blues, silvers and the like would bs awesome.

Gh700xx 01-31-2014 07:36 AM

That looks awesome

MissBehavin777 01-31-2014 09:44 AM

I like the clean lines would look good. But I am a fan of the all white with blue accents.

MissBehavin777 01-31-2014 09:49 AM

I.C.U.lookin I see your avatar says boat less... 42 next. Is it going to happen before summer? LOL You guys don't even need summer to boat... lucky Floridians. Good luck on your search.

Gh700xx 01-31-2014 10:07 AM

ICU there was an older 38 fever in AZ with no power for sale for a while on pbl looked like a good buy at the price they were asking. I almost jumped on that one but didn't have to time to rig it out.

That's a great agreement. I work in a 3 man machine shop with CNC mills, lathes welders and all that good stuff needed to make boat parts ;). It's nice being able to make custom 1 off parts. I can use whatever I want, whenever, but I stick to parts just for my self so as not to get the evil eye from the big guy. Otherwise I have the complete shop at my disposal, and that I do. Last job, I ran the wire EDM machine and made some crazy stuff.

Good luck in your adventure. Parts looked of high quality workmanship!

I liked the general idea of what was in the picture I posted but not fully covering the white, ie: I like the idea of some minimal graphics to break up the all white a bit but I really want to see what the boat looks like with the new rails on first because that will add some color and might be just enough. There's something very clean and classy looking about the all white, but sometimes I look at it and I feel like it came out of the mold and they forgot to finish it. I've got a long list of cleanup / miscellaneous stuff and some fiberglass repairs I need to get done to get her ready for spring, so I also don't want to deal with having the boat somewhere else for a few weeks. I will get through this season with her as is and then decide in the fall what I want to do so she will be all white this summer.

My two cents. If you think you want a 42... GET A 42!!! I really wanted a 42, found a great 38 and loved it, but the bigger boat haunted me from the day I bought it and I never stopped looking; had my nose in the classifieds every day. Given my family needs, I finally decided that the 42 wasn't a big enough step up to warrant getting out of my 38 and ended up with the 47. I'm ecstatic about the 47 because it suits more purposes for me and my family, but I'm pretty sure if I had gotten the 42 in the first place, I would still have it. I know I will love the 47, but she's a BIG boat and will be challenging at times. I think the 42 is best boat Fountain made.

Thanks appreciate it. Full use of the shop is an awesome deal don't mess that up. I have to pay the time that's how this whole thing started figure if I make a few what's a few dozen more. :lolhit: But my new shop is taking shape CNC mill up and running and multi axis lathe should be installed by month end.

MissBehavin777 01-31-2014 11:18 AM

I agree with HyFive578 100% 42 is the best fountain. I've ridden and drove probably every size fountain out there minus a 47 but 42 was the perfect boat IMO.

Gh700xx 01-31-2014 11:46 AM

im eventually going to step up to a 32-38 foot boat but I don't have to need or the lake room lol to really utilize anything bigger that and transport would be a pita for me.

Crude Intentions 01-31-2014 01:06 PM

Sold the 272. Finishing up a divorce. Should have the 42 by next summer. Have to finish giving her a pile of money then start saving again. Lol

Yeah I know. If I was ready if highly be considering for price alone. Though I would prefer a bravo boat and a stepped hull. That just sounds like to good a deal to me to pass up.
