Default 35 Lightning length on trailer?

Hello, I have included the Lightning in my list of boats to consider when I upgrade. Can anyone post what the total length of the 35 is on the trailer? Also, I see dual and triple axle trailers with these. Is one better than the other for the 35's weight as I trailer only to the lake. How is the 35 to trailer? Thanks guys! Chris.

Boat plus 7 feet is a good estimate. It depends on the trailer.

Myco and other welded trailers tend to be shorter with the boat sitting closer to the hitch. Bolt-together trailers tend to put the boat further from the hitch.
Surge brakes add about a foot over EoH due to the coupler.
Stand-off boxes or ITS drives, add another foot or so.
Surface drives, add 3 feet.

I'll take a triple over a tandem any day, but you can have a 35 Fountain on a tandem trailer just fine; as long as it is properly fitted with the right axles. You are not towing it with a 1/2 ton SUV though.

I have a 2008 35' lightning with a two axel trailer. Total length is 39'. I tried pulling it with a H2 and it was too much weight. I now pull it with a f350 with no problem. Keep me in mind when you want to buy. I might want to sell.

Total of 39'10" trailer coupler to the end of the prop shaft here, call it 40' on the trailer for my 35 Lightning.

Our 35 twin step on a Myco tandem axle trailer just barely fit in a 40' storage unit. You could get around the back of the boat, but it was tight. Another thing you may want to check into is to see if your class of driver's license allows for trailers over 10k gross weight. In North Carolina, a standard driver's license stops at 10k ... it was printed right on the back of the license. A Myco tandem is 12k rated. We towed with a 2500HD extended cab 4wd and that was about as much as I would want to have behind that truck. When you looked in the mirrors or the rearview mirror, all that you saw was boat .. You need to have good, functional brakes on the trailer (and truck).

1997 35' Lightning, 500hp's and bravo xr drives with a tandem axle Myco and surge brakes. Mine measures 39'2" from tip of trailer tongue to tip of outdrives. Been thinking about selling. Bought a lake house and the boat is to big for the boat house.
