Default 32 Fountain Fever speeds?

What speed could a person expect out of a 32’ Fever with two stock 330 hp engines?

Depending on if it is a stepped boat or not. I have seen a best of about 73 on gps( non step), with 25p mirage props, however that was turning them hard @ 52-5300. I have since upped to a set of 27 mirage props, but have not top speed tested it yet. However cruising speed is just about 50 mph @ 32-3500 with the 27's which is 8 mph better cruise then with 25's. I need to have these wheels cupped. as I have lost a noticeable amount of bow lift. These are stone stock 54's down to the exhaust. naturally a stepped boat will run about 5-8mph faster.

As fenderjack said a step vs non step is key to alot of variables. If speed is what you want you are shopping the right brand.

why would anyone want twin 330's when they could have twin 800's in this boat?

Different strokes for different folks. What power you have in your 32 ? A 32 with 800 a side would be a absolute handful to drive. We saved the 750's for the 33.

Some people also enjoy turn key power that they are familiar with. John that sounds like your kind of smack talking he threw out there at you.

a Couple Buddies of mine that sold a 97 32 and a 99 32 with twin 502s 415 hp 28 p hydro labbed with headers would get 78 to 80 on the best day so I would think a 454 330 hp would get 65 to 70 at best. Not much hp for a boat that size. I would think at least 502s or 500 hps would be the best bet for a 32. Plus resale would be difficult with the smaller hp motors

This is a used boat so the option for bigger power is not available. I’m just asking to see if it is something I would be interested in or not. Resale doesn’t matter because I’m already paying resale if I pick it up. I am also looking at a couple other boats so not a done deal.

It matters unless you plan to use it for a coffin later in life.
