Default Water Pressure Gauge

Any ideas on what is causing this? It's almost as if the needle has been moved. It rises & falls just the same amount as my starboard side but just doesn't start at zero. Ordered new sensor but I think its the gauge.

Pretty sure that's a mechanical gauge, does it have a rubber line running to it ?

Probably froze due to not being drained when winterizing. If it sweeps the same as the other gauge, your pressures are probably the same for each motor. Replacing the gauge would fix it.

How is the new boat otherwise ?

If the fitting in the back of the gauge that the hose is connected to has rotated from its original position, it will throw off the zero setting. if the gauge is still reading consistently but off the zero setting, this is most likely the reason. If you rotate the fitting gently while watching the needle, you can get it back to zero. Had this exact same issue.

Yes, there is a rubber line running to the back of the gauge. I'll try to rotate the fitting as HyFive578 recommended & see what happens. It seems to work fine, just not starting at zero. Other than a few minor things like the gauge all is well. Runs great. Takes a bit to get used to the left hand controls lol. A group of us from the south end are planning on coming up to the cove for the 4th. If you're around you can check it out.

Thanks guys for the help.

You're basically rotating the gauge in the case so you have to do that pretty gingerly. You do not want to rotate it past zero or you might damage the gauge.

That's good info - I hadn't run across this issue before. Probably very easy to create the problem when disassembling to flush that hose out.

Yes, it is. If the hose fitting is bound up on the gauge fitting and you don't realize that you will turn the gauge inside the case. Likewise if you overtighten the fitting, the same thing happens... speaking from experience here..

Glad you like the boat. The Cayuga Lake Poker Run is July 5th. Starts noon at Hibiscus with stops at O'Malleys, Wolffy's, and ends at Deerhead. You guys should plan on coming that day.

Kelly,
1st I've heard of any run on Cayuga. Tell us more or you or someone possibly start a thread on the Poker Runs forum. Never been on Cayuga but have wanted to so I don't know any of the stops you mentioned.

We are spending the night at the cove on the 4th so we will be up there the 5th. Is O'malleys the first stop after Hibiscus?
