Default Looking at 29 Fever

I am looking into buying a 1997 29 fever with a single 502. I have one lined up, just want to know if there is anything I should know.

I belive the owner says it runs about 65 with that motor, dont know what happened to the original motor.
I now own a 1988 checkmate convincer with a 598 ci making about 750 hp, the boat runs 80ish. Wondering
what the fountain will run.
I have a bravo x upper and a imco -2 lower, the fountain has a stock bravo set up, but it is counter ro.
Which set up would you guys run. I was told to make my set up a counter ro. all I have to do is change the way the shift cable works.
Just make it push instead of pull ? I hope to go for a test ride before this weekend, if all is good it will be mine.

Keep the fountain counter clockwise. That model is set up for that rotation. Clockwise prop will tilt the boat.
