Just looking for some feedback on prop set up, I have a 94 lightning and looking to have a better prop set up and looking for some history. Currently running 28 pitch mach's, they actually do ok for what I have in them. Any idea's? Thanks - Cincinnati

i have own 2 42's over the last 8yrs a 90 non-step and my present boat a 98. im sure fountain used a 4blade hydromotive on its 500hp 42's in 94. probably a little faster on top end than a bravo 1. what kind of rpms and speed are you getting out of your machs that will be the starting point. my quess is that regardless you will probably benifit from a hydro or bravo 1 try and borrow some props before buying. for example 26 hydros or simular to 28 bravos almost always 2pitch size different. across the line good luck.

Thanks - I tried a set of bravo 1 and picke dup some rpm from the machs - I turned the bravo1's at 5100 rpm at 80 mph, The machs were turning 4900 rpm at 80 - but they are a cheaper prop and I go thru them real quick, they bend real easy. I would like to see what the hydomotives would do! hard to find some one that has all the right props and will let you try them on triples! Oh well at least it's fun to keep trying!
