For the record, got nothing against Reggie, met him several times, even bought him a beverage in Miami once.....

I do remember seeing piks of a boat racing offshore back in the 70's that had a beak Reggie would have been proud of, at least 4 feet of it. The story that went with it was that is was to make min. length.

Hydro streams used to have the same look. If I remember it was so everyone would know what kind of boat it was at a distance.

As for the fountains, I have measured and if you carried the bow angle it is about 10". That said there are a lot of different angle bows, should we go back to flat nosed boats?

Easiest way to sell a 26' boat as a 27' boat.

The beak is something that will always make a Fountain stand out from the others. It is a distinctive look and makes it so there's never a doubt what kind of boat it is. Whether you like it or not, there will never be a person who mistakes a Fountain for any other boat. There are a lot of other boats out there that have very similar styling but the Fountain always looks unique. Just my $.02
