Executioner | Swim Ladder
As I'm on the hunt for my first go fast, I looked at a 35' Executioner yesterday. Not thinking to ask the dealer while looking the boat over, upon looking at the photos I snapped, I did not see a swim ladder.
Is that not an option? What have others done or get out of the water? |
Executioners did not come with swim ladders. That's a lightning thing. People have done different add on ones. The 42 ex may have had one. Not sure.

Someone had a thread going on this topic awhile ago about where to mount an after market ladder. I was leaning towards a Aqua Performance brand ladder if anyone has a picture or two of the finished results.

I hung a loop rope from the rear rub rial to one of the rear cleats and it was do-able for most people - although not all. I finally broke down and bought one of those after-market ladders that mounts under the swim platform but sold the boat before I installed it.
Still have it - new in the box - if anyone is looking for one. |
My buddy's 42 lightning (older so like the ex) has the one your talking about. Mounts under and his is between drives. Pulls down and is spring loaded up. Works nice. Only issue is if trimmed up tie bar is in the way.

How do you get in and out the boat now while in the water? Use the outdrives?
Does anyone have something like this mounted and if so maybe you could post a picture. It might make my mind up. |
I've never seen a ladder mounted under the swim platform on a Fountain (other than pics), but I'd be very leery of that mounting arrangement. The swim platform is hollow and there is no way to get in there to put any backer / support. I'd be afraid that it would crack the fiberglass if not properly supported on the inside.

Fordf350 that's similar to what's on my buddy's 42. Works great with the drives down. Tie bar interferes when up. His name on the board is Oneanddone.
Easyrider his 42 is mounted under. Don't have all the details but no cracks and feels strong. |
