Default 42 lightning length on trailer

Can any 42 owners out there give me the overall length from trailer nise to end if outdrive..... I am debating a 42 versus 38 Cig and trying to determine if can fit in my garage..... I know some trailers have slightly different lengths but want to get some actual numbers....

Thx

Boat plus 5 feet conservative.
Boat plus 7 feet liberal.

EoH brakes usually saves you about a foot of length on the trailer (compared to a surge brake coupler).
Welded trailers are usually a bit shorter than bolt-together.

Pending trailer type, you could have a removable tongue fabricated.
Something that would slide out of a long tube, with pull pins to keep it in place.

ITS or SSM or Extension boxes...
...go with liberal number.
Drives out can extend overall length by as much as a foot. (Many of us tow drives out to keep them away from the pavement; as such they are out when you back in the garage on the way in from a jaunt.)

So with ssm the drives stick out about 1 ft from swim platform? Is the 42 exactly 42' from tip of beak to end of platform? I can always tuck drives when get back home...... Might need to cut pockets into garage to fit drives in between wall joists😁😁😁

I have seen a few pivot tongues on trailers but not for this size.... Need some additional research, i guess

Mine was 46 1/2' from ball to props with drives up. Depends on the brand and placement of the trailer.

I just bought a 42 with an aluminum Myco that has drive guards.... it is inches from 48 feet from tip of the of the coupler to the backside of the drive guard.
