Mine is not a good comparison with yours because am running a straight bottom 35 to your step bottom 38 , I figured the back of my boat is the deepest so that is where I mounted my pick-up's and I will see how they work,.If they do not work good I will have two more holes to fill .

Fiberglass is a wonderful thing. I did look at the notched part of the transom where I would have to mount them and there is not a ton of room there. I will com straight up then SS ball valve, street elbow with barb right into the strainer. We shall see. Hell we got VERY low water at the lakes around here. Not hurting my feelings that its on trailer right now.

Just my thought.
I'd rather mount it in solid fiberglass than compromise the transom area. I'll do just about anything before I open up the wood even if it's only a screw hole.

Mine will be trial and error I don't think my adjustable pick- ups go up high enough so they might have be cut and rewelded back together .

Nope, Just drilled my holes and getting a new tube of 5200 to set it with. Putting my ball valve and barb fittings together. Gonna try and see. There is nothing I can screw up bad enough that I can't pay someone to fix!!!

Did you get it in the water to test it yet Kearns? I'm curious since JerryHaney made his post.

Not yet. Set the flange with bolts and 5200. Letting the 5200 set up properly before i clean the hole up from any 5200 overflow. I will hopefully run this weekend. I will post the results.
