Shouldn't be too hard to fix, quick clean up and a small plaster......

Good luck with the project, looks very interesting.

I'm ok I enjoy life, I see you can do some glass work but I don't think that is a job for a guy with just a few years of simple repair, that's some serious damage there... not trying to actually be jerk about it .... just is what it is, like taking a rare Hemi Cuda for a full restoration, you taking it to the guy with a few years at it? or the guy with 30 years?? I know what I would do...

As far as for never selling it? tell me one person who kept a boat from when they were 20 years old, that would be a very rare case, I said so many times things were not gonna be sold, you get bored and move on to more things... to say you will never sell is not likely...

That's the story I got. So I'm not too sure. And Tim, once you've understood the fundamentals behind fiberglass and the right way to fully saturate and cure it, it really isn't that big of a job... You just cut out whatever messed up. Give yourself an outside shape to work off of, put some coring on the inside. And glass it all in on the inside and make sure you retab the top and bottom good.. Fiberglass is fiberglass.

Correct, however, what you will lose, is your Fountain skanks. Size does count. The length of your beak means everything to them.

Still got my 16 check. Bought it when I was 21. A lot of fun and memories in that boat! We actually took it to buffalo last week instead of mean streak with the 3 kids to meet friends for lunch. Now its making new memories for us and the kids love it! It was/is my first boat and they will have to pry it from my cold dead hands (although my 4 year old daughter already called dibs)!
