Not trying to be an a$$ but, if your having that kind of issues with water pressure, then you need to revisit how that thing is plumed. Are you dragging an offshore style pickup to low? If your getting water from stock drive pickups .. you can tap & plug some of them... If you explain your setup more in detail I can help you more

got transom mounted pick ups with sea strainers. if i raise the pick ups up any more they get aerated water and my temps rise, too big of a restrictor any my temp doesnt even move. curios if a spitter off a block drain with shut off valve to regulate would help

You don't go off the block drain because you want as much cool water to go through the heads. If you can't raise your water pickups then go to a 6AN line coming off the back of both sides of the intake manifold. What kind of exhaust are you running?. You want as much water going through the motor & exhaust as possible. With a system that is set up properly the motor will keep a consent temp and bypass water to the exhaust when stat is closed. Problem with not running a stat is hard to keep it from stalling at the docks, and condensation in oil. On a old setup I ran I used 6AN lines coming off back of intake that were T'd into a pressure relief valve that went to a 10AN line out the back of the boat. That way it dumped only when pressure got up to over 20 psi.
