That is one of the first 35 lightings being its a 89 its called a 33 . but that is a 35 deck and liner a 10 meter has a different deck and no liner.
|
To be more clear the 35 wasn't just a 10 meter with a molded swim platform. the whole top/deck was a new design as was the interior. the dash and cabin doors and the one piece cockpit liner .I looked at a 89 like that years ago but i can't remember what they called it I thought it was a 33 lightening .then in 1990 they were called 35 because the rule was include the swim platform

Appreciate that flat rate. thank you. You're insight confirms the info I have, that it is a transition boat from 10 meter to Lightening. The paperwork I have says its a '90 10 meter (33 feet) but everything else says it's a lightening.

Yes. The interior changed and even so in stages. Cockpit first then cabin. However the hull bottom is the same. Until the steps were added.

fresh 502's bored 30 over all internals balanced, Merlin cast heads, Wiseco pistons, Edelbrock intake, Holley 850's, Compcams bumpy sticks, Stainless Marine manifolds.
Change in paint has been made...fear the hazing will bleed through so decided to paint the entire boat. Only the bottom stripe will remain but in the same grey the valve covers and intake are. |
You can also call Fountain and give them your HIN# and get yourself a performance report on the boat as well.
Nice boat as well. |
Been a long time coming...a long painful wait...boat just went to the water for the first time for testing, as I type this. I was forbidden to be around (it's a long story) Delivery is supposed to be tomorrow, assuming everything performs as it should, today. Updated dash isn't done as yet and there are still a couple of small details to tidy up, but I was getting a bit ....erm...assertive to have this beak in the water. There is little enough of our season up here left...I need to get on the water.
Pics will come this weekend. |
Did you dyno motors? We have time for s long story. Lol
|
No, they weren't dyno'd and that probably would have been a blessing to have done. Yesterday it came back with a failed ignition module and a drive fluid leak. Today... out cruising around sorting out a couple of other things, cruising 3500 RPM at about 40mph...added a bit of throttle, secondaries opened up for a few minutes...the crunch...limped back in on starboard engine. Port engine seized solid...suspicion is broken crank.

Ouch. That sucks.
